Lanzarote is a beautiful island with lots of great places to stay. The main areas of tourism on the island are Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca. For water sports enthusiasts Costa Teguise offers Windsurfing and Famara offers surfing and kitesurfing.

Famara: Recommended
Amazing five kilometers of beautiful beach with a 600 metre cliff back drop. Great surfing and kitesurfing. The town of Famara is located right on the western end of the 4 kilometer long Famara beach. In town there is also a couple of very sheltered beaches safe for children. There is a small harbour and several bars and restaurants over looking it. Famara town is small and very relaxed. No big complexes or tourist developments just small friendly apartments and some villas.
Apartments are located in the village Famara, just a few minutes walk to the beach. The bungalows and studios are situated directly on the beach with sea views. They are all fully furnished.
Puerto del Carmen:
This area is close to the airport and has the most bars, restaurants and nightlife.
Costa Teguise:
Not as busy as Puerto del Carmen but with a good selection of bars etc plus some surf and world class windsurfing.
